“Character comes first. It’s more important than the jokes, and it’s more important than the story. You fall in love with the characters. You don’t fall in love with the premise.”
Dave has been a top writer on several of the most successful television comedies of all time, including his role as Executive Producer on THE BIG BANG THEORY. He also wrote on BOB LOVES ABISHOLA and created THE UNITED STATES OF AL, after growing up as a writer on the classic comedy THIRD ROCK FROM THE SUN. He spoke with Craft Services members in April 2022.
